Diamonds come with various types of jewellery. Today, I want to share my guide on the best places to wear each sort of diamond jewellery.

Wedding Rings
As the name might suggest, the best time to wear a wedding ring is at a wedding,  particularly your own. In western culture, exchanging a diamond wedding ring has become a large part of showing your spouse that you wish to spend the rest of your life with them.

However, the diamond ring is one of the few pieces of diamond jewellery that doesn’t warrant a special occasion to wear. For example, many people wear their rings at a bar, at work, or just out and about. By wearing your ring, you’re saying that you want others to know you’re married. You may also show it off to anyone who tries flirting with you to let them know they’re too late.

Of course, there are some occasions when wearing a wedding ring isn’t recommended. For example, while you’re at the gym. Or if you have a hands-on job such as a chef or carpenter.

Earrings and necklaces
I’ve put these two under the same category because all the occasions that warrant diamond earrings would also warrant a diamond necklace.

We recommend saving these pieces of jewellery for special occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries, or romantic meals at fancy restaurants. Because the diamonds on earrings and necklaces are usually bigger than those on rings, it would be wise to wear them less often, as it draws too much attention.

Here are some signs that the place you’re going to is upmarket enough to warrant wearing diamonds on your ears and neck.

  • The staff are wearing suits.
  • The menu doesn’t have the prices written on it.
  • There is live classical music playing as you dine.Diamond watches
A diamond watch is, as the name suggests, a watch with diamonds. Of course, the whole watch isn’t made of diamond; that would be physically impossible.

Some have just a single diamond in the centre, and others are encrusted with them. However, all of them are male-centred jewellery that allows the gents to wear diamonds.

We would recommend wearing a diamond watch to upmarket but informal places. For example, if you go to certain nightclubs or a film premiere (if you’re lucky enough to be invited).

However, some might see a diamond watch as too tacky and in-your-face for more formal occasions, such as christenings, weddings, or funerals.

Tiaras
Generally, the only time people wear a tiara is at their own wedding. Thanks to a combination of history, and folklore, people who wear a tiara feel like they’re a princess.
It might be seen as rude to wear a tiara at someone else’s wedding. It’s supposed to be the bride who is the princess.
Even at your own wedding, wearing a tiara is not compulsory.

The only exception to this rule is if you are literally a princess. If you watch the royals, such as Kate or Anne, they will wear tiaras at many of their evening-based public engagements.

Broach
A broach is like a badge but slightly more luxurious. Although they can contain any gemstone or none, a diamond broach certainly helps bring your outfit to another level.

If you want to wear a broach, we recommend doing so at formal or upmarket events. Just make
sure to pick one that doesn’t clash with your outfit.
